Semarang, 22/03/2019-The head of Lerep village that has served for 3 period, namely Mr. Sumariyadi gave in FISIP UNDIP with the lesson “The role of the village governments Lerep towards the management of tourism villages and BUMDES. Participants in the public lecture were all students of the government sciences Undip FISIP Force 2017. The public lecture was held on Friday 22 March 2019.
The head of Lerep village in the public lecture told how he with the community developed the potential of Lerep village to become a tourist village. According to him, every village in Indonesia must have a potential for each of them either from HR or SDA. The most important thing is how the government is able to exploit that potential in magnitude – big for the welfare of society.
Lerep Village is one of the villages in West Ungaran district which belongs to the category of tourism villages. With the topography of the plateau Lerep Village has a variety of interesting potentials such as Curug Indrokilo, a vast expanse of paddy fields, and beautiful natural scenery. The farm in Lerep village is supported by an artificial reservoir called the bbly Sebligo. Besides as a support for agriculture, the bbly is also managed and developed as a tourist spot. In addition to other activities developed by the village government Lerep is an educational tour of cow’s milk processing Center, cubits work based on garbage, education on garbage, cultural tourism such as attractions Gejlug Lesung, dance-traditional dance, night village tracking and other-others.
Village management conducted by the Government based on the development of potential SDA and human Resources village. The Government also guarantees the welfare of the community through the management of BUMDES and cooperate with BPJS manpower work. Various interesting stories were conveyed by the village chief Lerep. One of the things that has always been emphasized by him as a good village government organizer, we must dare to innovate and embrace the community by developing the existing village potential for common welfare.
