The Indonesian Young Scientists Academy (ALMI) organized the 2023 Thesis Award held at the Design Center FSRD ITB. The event was aimed at all undergraduate students (S1) across Indonesia who graduated in 2023. This agenda was orchestrated with the intention of acknowledging the best thesis works, in hopes of motivating students nationwide to pursue higher education and contribute to the development of science and technology in Indonesia.
The competition process commenced from October to November for administrative selection. Out of a total of 160 participants who passed the administrative phase (from all over Indonesia, including Undip, UI, ITB, UGM, and others), 3 participants from each field (Natural Sciences, Health, Social Humanities, Engineering, Education) were declared eligible to proceed to the presentation and interview stage, scheduled for early December.
The top 3 finalists from each field were invited to attend the Indonesian Young Scientists Congress (KIMI) 2023, where the winners were announced.
Among the 5 fields in competition, Universitas Diponegoro successfully secured 2 National #1 best awards in the fields of Social Humanities and Education. The finalists who received these awards were:
– Rofi Lutfiani (Government Studies of 2020), Best 1 in the field of Social Humanities
– Yosafat Hernantyo Pramudya (Government Studies of 2019), Best 1 in the field of Education
