Boyolali (28/07/2024) – Community Service Program (KKN) students from Diponegoro University are addressing bureaucratic issues that have long hindered population administration services in Lemahireng Village. One of the main obstacles is the lack of public awareness regarding the importance of population documents and the complexity of the application process.

To tackle this issue, KKN students conducted awareness campaigns for both the villagers and village officials about the importance of population documents and the benefits of the Digital Population Identity (IKD). Additionally, they created a simple guide outlining the step-by-step process of managing population administration.

“We realized that many residents struggle with population administration due to unclear procedures and lengthy processing times. Therefore, we are working to simplify the process and utilize technology to make services more accessible,” said one of the KKN UNDIP members.

One of the most notable innovations is the integration of the population administration system with the Digital Population Identity (IKD). With IKD, villagers can access various public services online anytime and anywhere, making the process faster and more convenient.

The Lemahireng villagers welcomed the KKN students’ initiative. One local resident stated, “With this new administrative process, it is much easier for me to take care of important documents without having to go back and forth to the village office.”

In addition to the awareness campaign, KKN students also provided a banner displaying the step-by-step process of obtaining population documents and IKD. The banner was placed in front of the village office, allowing anyone interested in learning about the procedures to easily access the information.
