This activity was held in two sessions: the first session from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the second session from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This workshop was attended by Universitas Diponegoro academic community covering undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. The activity was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Communication and Business of Universitas Diponegoro, Professor Budi Setiyono, S.Sos., M.Pol.Admin., Ph.D.

“The purpose of this event is, among other things, to expand our abilities and knowledge in utilizing journals subscribed by Undip. This workshop is also one of the activities that will always grow and develop in line with our efforts to make Undip a World Class University,” said Prof. Budi in his speech.

In his presentation, Dwi Janto Suandaru, one of the Scopus agents, discussed the utilization of databases. “Proquest stores valuable information, has broad and diverse coverage, including historical archives to the latest scientific breakthroughs. Proquest packages it with digital technology that enhances search results and management,” explained Dwi Janto.

“More than 26,000 libraries from 150 countries use Proquest, including Universitas Diponegoro. And 98% of the top 400 universities have subscribed to scientific references from Proquest,” stated Dwi Janto.

Proquest is a database used as a research reference by universities, companies, government agencies, schools, public libraries, and researchers. More than 130 million students and researchers have access to Proquest. In addition, more than 9,000 publishers and content providers partner with Proquest.

This workshop is expected to provide additional insights to participants. International journals that have been subscribed to can be utilized to the fullest extent by the academic community of Undip. (Nadella/Hanang/As-Humas)
