Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has been awarded the designation of “Moving Towards Informative” in the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Transparency of 2023 by the Central Information Commission (KIP). The award was received by the Vice-Rector for Communication and Business of UNDIP, Professor Budi Setiyono, S.Sos., M.Pol.,Admin., Ph.D., acting as the Chief of Information Documentation and Management Officer (PPID) of UNDIP, at the Public Transparency Awards ceremony held at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Jakarta on Wednesday (December 20th, 2023).
Alongside 13 other state universities, UNDIP secured the category of “Moving Towards Informative.” The designation of “Moving Towards Informative” signifies an improved quality of public service by consistently enhancing innovations that support public access to information services.
In the evaluation and monitoring of public information transparency, there were five designations ranging from Not Informative, Insufficiently Informative, Sufficiently Informative, Moving Towards Informative, to Informative. UNDIP was designated as “Moving Towards Informative.”
The Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Transparency of 2023 aimed to: measure the compliance of Public Bodies in implementing public information transparency; assess the consistency of Public Bodies in providing public information services; evaluate the implementation of standards for public information services within Public Bodies; assess the compliance categories of public information transparency within Public Bodies; and provide feedback on the implementation of public information transparency within Public Bodies.
The implementation of the Monev of Public Information Transparency of 2023 commenced in August 2023 through several stages. It began with document uploads, followed by presentation stages for those meeting the standard criteria, and concluded with the final stage of visitation.
Professor Budi Setiyono was optimistic that UNDIP would achieve the “Informative” category next year. He stated, “Facing the current digital era, UNDIP has been responsive to technology by providing integrated services in accordance with public needs. There is the Halo Undip live chat service accessible directly to the public and in real-time. Additionally, there is a mobile PPID available to respond to information requests, aspirations, and complaints, along with other services beneficial to the public.” The increasingly informative and user-friendly interface of the UNDIP PPID website also aids the public in obtaining their information rights, especially for individuals with disabilities.
“Indeed, informative, swift, and digitally based public services are not only beneficial for society but also advantageous for the providers of public services,” concluded Professor Budi. (Ut-PR).
